Burying The Bourbon | Southern Tradition | Chasing Away The Rain

There is an old southern folklore that says if you bury a bottle of bourbon at the site where the bride and groom are to be married it won't rain on their wedding day. The tradition states that this must be done exactly one month before the wedding, the bottle must be completely full, and it must be buried upside down! The bottle should be dug up post-ceremony and enjoyed with the bridal party, so really this is a winning idea no matter the outcome!

Now hustle on over to Flag Hill and get yourself a bottle of bourbon… or two! You can never be too careful! My personal suggestion would be to also grab a bottle of Sparkling Cayuga my all time favorite! Bury the Whiskey and pop the bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate a clear and sunny wedding day!

Outdoor Engagement Session | Wagon Hill Farm | Durham, NH

The answer is yes. Any time a couple asks, " Can we bring our dog?" Yes. Absolutely!

Gatlin is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever come across, totally laid back, zero bark and 100% love!  I also do believe that he was completely up for an engagement session tag along at an amazing open field location of Wagon Hill! Talk about open spaces to run!

Okay so back to the real reason we were at Wagon Hill, an engagement session for the ever so adorable in love, mom and dad of Gatlin.. I mean Sandra and Michael! It only ten short days I will be documenting these two declare their love to each other at their Flag Hill Winery wedding! Ten Days Y'all! I can not wait, these two are so sweet and so in love!
