Tips For Better Wedding Photos | New Hampshire Wedding Photographer

Everyone is always full of tips and tricks for a smoother wedding day, but this is not really that. These tips are going to be from the perspective of the photographer to ensure many beautiful photos for your albums, because who doesn't want that!

1. Look Up

I know this sounds super easy and silly to even mention, but it's worth mentioning. Brides as soon as you start down the aisle, look up at me. Mention it to your father too, because for some reason as soon as a bride and her father start down the aisle, instantly eyes drop down. I know it's nerves, and nerves will get the best of all of us... I too have a great shot of my father and I staring at the ground, but fight the urge. Look up at me, look past me to your groom, make eye contact with him, take it all in! This is the moment that all your planning has been for, this is your moment. Backyard Farm Wedding | Epping, NH

Epping-New-Hampshire-Farm-Wedding-July-NH-Wedding

It was a perfectly sunny New Hampshire July day, when they gathered among the peach trees and blueberry bushes in front of loving family, friends and a horse or two, and took the vow to care for each others heart as one.

It sounds straight out of a love story right?! Well it pretty much was! The bride and groom actually had their first date in Kindergarten, be it was only for cheese and crackers at the snack table, but per the maid of honors speech the bride was smitten from second grade on.

I would imagine the planning process to get nearly a dozen friends on a ferry out to the Isles of Shoals for a surprise engagement is quite tedious. Never mind the fact that one friend actually missed said ferry and had to stay incognito as she hid just feet from the couple on the later ferry trip. Once they finally docked, and made their way on to the island, Mike dropped to one knee and with all their friends watching he asked Lauren to be his forever wife.

Awwww!

Now hours and hours and hours of planning later here we are at the quintessential New Hampshire farm wedding. The grounds were transformed from a deeply loved backyard farm to a beautiful wedding venue. The bride began her day with her ladies at her family home while the groom did the same with his men, the two did not meet until they came face to face down the aisle.
