DIY Guest Book | Amy Brown Brides Create | Basic Invite

As the New Hampshire wedding season is coming to an end yet again, I like to look back at all of my beautiful weddings. This year I have noticed a common theme of D.I.Y. guest books. I love anything D.I.Y because it helps take a base black and white wedding and makes it 100% you. This year I have seen "guest hearts", "guest corks" and even "guest planks" A few years back I even had a couple with a "guest bench!"

This got me to thinking of how else a bride could take a traditional guest book and make it special. Traditionally guest books are a simple satin covered book with lines for a guest to sign with their name and a message. After that the book makes its way home to the hope chest or book shelf and is rarely seen again! How sad!

I do love how brides have began to make these more couple specific, but the common denominator that I have been seeing is that guests are only signing their name. This comes to be more of an attendance list that a real love message moment. I could not have been happier when the perfect solution presented itself!

A guest book address book!

Fall Engagement Session | Durham, NH

Adam and Colleen are super sweet, and when I met them at Flag Hill Winery for our initial meeting and found out that they had only been engaged less than a month, I knew we were a fit! I mean talk about efficient!! Efficient, and gorgeous, I mean look at Colleens GORGEOUS hair! Hair like that combined with the gorgeous fall foliage is what NH wedding photographers dream of!

I then found out that they were about to fly off on a two week trip around England, to spend time will all of Adams family there, and that is when I asked if possibly I could fit in their luggage, I mean everyone needs a traveling family photographer right!? Anyone who knows me, knows I have a slight obsession with everything England, it may even be a bit unhealthy... but hey i'm in love!

We met up just shy of one year to their wedding date, for their engagement session at Wagon Hill, in Durham, NH. The grounds are stunning and the fact that we were bouncing around ten other photographers was no surprise. They even brought along a little extra love with a brown nose, and four legs, just wait until you see him!

Colleen and Adam I am honored that you have chosen me to document your gorgeous wedding day at Flag Hill Winery, it is going to be a beautiful day! It was great to also be able to meet your little furry baby Porter, he really was so well behaved and the best!
